This is an excellent book. It touches on all the principles that have been acquired and applied over ages by all successful people.

A big pity that this Kindle Edition is full of so many errors not found in the paperback version. I feel that this takes away from the excellence that this book offers.

If you can ignore the several typos, grammatical mistakes found in the Kindle Edition only, and absorb the principles, it is one of the best self help books I have come across. In my view certainly in the same league as Stephen Covey's 7 Habits.

Louis Fisher is Scholar in Residence at the Constitution Project. Previously, he worked for four decades at the Library of Congress as Senior Specialist in Separation of Powers (Congressional Research Service, from 1970 to 1996) and Specialist in Constitutional Law (Law Library, from 2006 to 2010). Katy Harriger is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at Wake Forest University.

Comprehensive and Useful

This guide offers comprehensive information on the solutions focussed appraoch along with worksheets and practical solution to implementing this appraoch in your practce. Very useful and well written. This approach is well worth taking your time to get to know. Its simple yet profound. Rather than feeding into labels, diagnoses, and weaknesses we develop a strong relationship and build on the individuals strengths and abilities to resolve the problem. I believe this is much more effective than treating the diagnosis rather than the person. Higly recommended.

Alternative approach towards substance use counseling/treatment

I've been reading on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy for about a year now and I was glad to have come across a manual that specializes in the treatment of substance use on a strengths perspective. I highly recommend this book to those counselors, mental health workers, social workers, etc who want to explore a different perspective other than the problem-oriented stance.

Wonderful explanation of TQM

Though the book looks really childish it has a lot valuable information about TQM and its fundamentals. Recommend it to everyone interested in TQM topic, from beginners to experts!

Another Great read from Peters!

Wow. I read this is pretty much one sitting. I was hooked from the first sentence and could not get enough. Tabitha's father has put her through hell since she was a little girl. Now that she has two much younger sisters, she will do anything to protect them, including submitting to her father's sick demands.
Beast has been through his own hell. Now he has a chance to right some wrongs and protect Tabitha in the process. In true Beauty and the Beast fashion, they grow closer and fall in love.
There is so much pulse-pounding suspense in this book. Just insane. All of the characters were amazing and it was such a romantic story. I can't wait to see what Peters comes up with next.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Beast and Tabitha. Tabitha has been on a rough road with her father. While attending college she finds that she is having a lot of trouble with writing papers when she finds out about tutors she wonders if her father will allow her to go. One day after school Tabitha is taken to a driveway and dropped off at the end of it and told to walk to the house and do whatever Beast tells her to do. After stumbling in the dark she finally finds the house and Beast is standing in the entryway so all she sees is a big man in a doorway. She can not read if he is kind or mean. After all she has been though in her life it will take a lot to get her to trust him. Can she in the end?

Beast has secrets many of them in fact. However the more time he spends with Tabitha the more of his secrets he wants to share with her. He only wishes that she would want to share her secrets with him. The problem is some of his secrets could scare or hurt her and that is something he will never allow. The more he gets to know Tabitha the more he wonders what he can do for her and how much she will let him in. The question then becomes can he reach whatever holds her back before her demons come for her again.

This is a great book full of ups and downs. This book has some twists that you might think are coming that will be almost there but there are others that will have you going wow. This book will touch your heart strings and will make you take a second look at certain things. I would recommend this book. Be forewarned it does touch on rape (no details) and abuse of a child (very little detail) maybe hard for some people to read.

This was a decent story about 2 damaged people who find love and healing together. The reason I gave this 3.5 instead of 4 stars is because while it's a good read I feel like it was missing something. As another reviewer stated it felt a little shallow. I didn't connect with the main characters enough to get emotionally involved in the story. Both of their tales were tragic and I felt bad for them. However, it never took that extra step where I got really invested in them. Overall it is a good way to spend the afternoon. I would recommend if you are looking for a quick Beauty and the Beast kinda story.
