Robert England voice acting for the animated Freddy Kruger,the actress who playded Jason's mother,the guy who played Ash Williams in Army of Darkness and the womman that woke up in the year 2455 with Jason in Jason-X also becomeing the voice acters&voice actresses for their animated counterparts and mabe replace Lori&her boyfriend from the1st fue pages of FVJVApt1 with a new cuple just wanting to find out if the rumers of Jason were true;while the origenal cuple are off on their honnymoon during The Nightmare Warriors saga(yes,their perfectly safe).

The book deals with the dynamics and growth of a violent 21st century communist rebellion initiated in Nepal by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) – CPN(M). Scholars from diverse disciplinary backgrounds employ a wide variety of approaches and methods to unravel different aspects of the rebellion. Individual chapters analyze the different causes of the insurgency, factors that contributed to its growth, the organization, agency, ideology and strategies employed by the rebels and the state, and the consequences of the insurgency.

New issues are analysed in conjunction with the insurgency, such as the role of the Maoist student organization, Maoist's cultural troupes, the organization and strategies of the People's Army and the Royal Nepal Army, indoctrination and recruitment of rebels, and international factors. Based on original field work and a thorough analysis of empirical data, this book fills an existing gap in academic analyses of the insurgency in Nepal.

About the Author

Mahendra Lawoti is Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Western Michigan University, president of the Association for Nepal and Himalayan Studies, and an Associate Fellow of Asia Society. He has published widely on Nepali politics, in particular democratic state building in Nepal.

Anup Pahari received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has taught at Goucher College and Cathoic University. He has been an independent scholar/analyst since 1999, and he is currently is an independent consultant with the US State Department. He has contributed to books on the maoist insurgency and the Nepali conflict in English as well as in Nepali.

Worth reading if you are venturing into RFID...

RFID Sourcebook by Sandip Lahiri is a very well done title that you should investigate if you're starting to look into how RFID technology might be used in your organization...

I found this book to be the type that you could legitimately use in order to plan your company's approach to RFID. It's not a "rah rah" book that pretends that RFID is a panacea to all the manufacturing problems that exist. It's an even-handed coverage of the subject, and he doesn't have any qualms about covering the pros and cons that you'll have to consider if you use RFID. There's a degree of technical information in the book, but not so much that a higher-level decision maker would get bogged down in details. I guess I'd consider it more of a strategic book to make good fundamental initial decisions, and to get your project moving in the right direction early.

If RFID is something that your organization or industry is pursuing, grab this book to get grounded in the fundamentals.

Excellent handbook

RFID is a technology that has the good fortune of being forced upon end users from major players like Walmart and the DOD. Soon therefore, many IT managers should expect to get involved in RFID assessment and deployments. Unfortunately however, much of the information about the technology comes from the marketing material put out by vendors. Though useful, such literature does not provide a complete picture of what it takes to successfully deploy RFID. That is where this book is handy. I think it offers one of the most balanced coverages of managerial and technical issues in any book I have read concerning any information technology.

The author's experience on the topic is evident throughout and the book is structured to guide the reader from an introduction to RFID to guidance in implementation. The first few chapters offer an overview of the technology, including frequency specifications and specifications of popular readers and sensors. To help answer some of the most frequently asked questions there are comparisons of RFID with Bar codes and a discussion on privacy issues, and many other issues.

Some of the most practical offerings of the book are the templates for all phases of an RFID implementation. There are templates for building the business case, creating use cases and the actual implementation. Though there is no substitute for experience, this book provides a sound footing for managers to prevent shooting in the dark.

I would have loved to see a description of a real case of a company implementing an RFID solution along with a discussion of the gotchas along the way. However, it is understandable that most companies are averse to providing such information for publication. Overall, this book is strongly recommended to any reader looking for a companion handbook on RFID.

High Level Deployment & Analysis

Introduction

I was interested in reading this book because I intend on deploying a large-scale RFID solution in the future and wanted to enhance my knowledge on the technology. I figured this would be a good start since the author is an IBM RFID Solution Architect, and perhaps something he would state could disqualify my intentions.

"Learning more about the technology" is a very broad statement, and in my case covered just about everything from Frequencies and Business Applications to Public Scrutiny of the technology. Sandip does an excellent job of staying concise, unbiased and objective throughout this publication. Additionally, he provides insight as to why certain "sides" of public RFID critics/advocates may view things the way they do. The book mentions "getting beyond the hype" on the back cover, and Sandip does exactly that.

Sandip wrote:
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology uses radio waves to automatically identify physical objects (either living beings or inanimate items). Therefore, the range of objects identifiable using RFID includes virtually everything on this planet (and beyond). Thus, RFID is an example of automatic identification (Auto-ID) technology by which a physical object can be identified automatically. Other examples of Auto-ID include bar code, biometric (for example, using fingerprint and retina scan), voice identification, and optical character recognition (OCR) systems.

I come from an environment where my RFID hypothesis is already laid out; I just need additional information on the technology to ensure my deployment is a success. Not only does he give consideration to the variations of RFID technology, he discusses the necessity of businesses using RFID versus other technologies available today and the processes of evaluation, experimentation, deployment, and post-deployment.

The book starts out with a quick preface that gives a general blurt about RFID and narrows down who could find themselves reading the book.

Although I can see "consumers" and "anyone interested" quickly becoming lost in his intelligent vocabulary, technical specifications and continuous references to variables and infrastructure.

Recommended experience in a technical environment before jumping into this book...and NOT intended for your "everyday Wal-Mart shopper".

Style and Detail

Each chapter starts with introduction to the topic, then dives into specifics relevant to the topic. His organization throughout the book is very structured and is incredibly easy to follow. If you miss something or don't understand it, you will probably find that in the next paragraph he will discuss it once again except in further detail.

Beware of chapter 1, it is quite lengthy and very technical although necessary for those reading later on to fully understand the concepts he discusses.

Throughout the book, there are plenty of illustrations and pictures of products pertinent to the context. Most illustrations were very "bird's eye view" on topics, but realize he is coming from the position of a high level executive considering a RFID implementation, who instructs all those in charge of the various departments to comply, then supervises and evaluates accordingly.

Because of the "high level executive" standpoint, Sandip doesn't dip into mega-specifics of RFID tags and readers. You are not going to learn how to interact with a RFID tag or reader by reading this book...you're going to learn how to determine implementation considerations (such as environmental factors, etc), the overall purpose, how to evaluate that purpose, select a vendor, comply with standards, implement the solution, and evaluate accordingly. Overall, pretty much covers the 7 P's concept...to cross your t's and dot your i's before spending too much money.

Conclusion

From a business perspective, this book is a must read. If you are considering a RFID solution, reading this book will give you some good pointers and ways of evaluating effectiveness and efficiency. Perhaps you don't even need RFID (that's covered too).

I thought reading this book was going to help me write data to RFID tags in my RFID Solution...instead it gave me new insight as to the scope and path of my Solution. There is no "one stop" book, but this one should be your "first stop". He gives direction as to where to head if you're looking for more specific or technical information, so you're not left in the dark at the end.

His Closing Thoughts (Chapter 11) was probably the most valuable chapter in the book. Here he cuts through all the hype and anti-RFID/pro-RFID sentiment and addresses issues from both sides. Excellent Guide For Starting A Fitness Routine

Forever Fit And Firm is one of those books that you realize immediately was created by someone who actually DOES the stuff they talk about. In the book, Darvis provides an excellent guide to personal fitness. He includes lots of photos and descriptions, so you can make sure you are actually doing the exercises the right way. Basically, think of this book as a very inexpensive personal trainer. The book starts for beginners and works up to intermediate level fitness routines. He also touches on diet and nutrition and talks about how and why fad diets do not work. He says what all of us know but nobody talks about...to lose weight you simply have to burn more calories than you take in. The big tip that I didn't know is that muscle burns calories more than fat. Thus, the more muscle you have the more calories you will burn even when you are doing nothing. Think about that for a minute and let it sink in, because it's pretty cool stuff.

Bottom Line: While I haven't read too many fitness books, Forever Fit And Firm is the best I have read or even seen. Darvis makes it easy to grab this book and go to the gym and start making a difference in your life. If you want to get fit or know someone who does, this book could be an excellent tool and motivator.

Great book for a guy over 50 like me

Great book for a guy over 50 like me, trying to ease back into personal fitness. The book features three routines: beginner, intermediate, and advanced, including post-workout stretches. Each successive routine builds upon the previous one and includes some of the same exercises. Cardio and nutrition are also covered in detail. Finally, the author provides suggestions for developing a positive frame of mind to complement a healthy fit body. It's obvious that Darvis Simms practices what he preaches; in fact he states that the advanced routine is the one he uses personally. All the demonstration illustrations are of Simms himself, and his buff physique is proof that his fitness regimen works. My only minor criticism of this book is that the publisher didn't proofread the text more carefully. The same couple typos show up several times in the captions. However, this poses only a minor distraction for the reader and in no way detracts from the author's concise instruction.

Darvis Simms is a personal trainer with over 17 years of experience. In this book, he shows you what you need to do to have more energy, lose weight and remain fit no matter what your age. The book is easy to read so you learn what you need to know fast.
I've only seen a few books where a personal trainer reaches out to the masses to show them how to stay healthy. This is one of those books. You'll be glad you read it.

Despite his growing attraction to Aaron, Quinn has to try to keep his heart from getting too involved, and when another assassination plot is uncovered, Quinn has to make a difficult decision. He must put Aaron aside despite his feelings for him and imprison him, even though the mating bond between them means Aaron will suffer and die without Quinn. And when Aaron disappears and word gets back to Quinn that he’s dying, he has to take a leap of faith to bring him home and back to Quinn's bed where he belongs.

Property of the Alpha by authors Shannon West and Victoria Sue is the start to the Supremacy of Wolves series. This futuristic tale has humans almost wiped out by their own treatment of the planet and the plague. They are now under the rules of werewolves. Quinn is the new alpha of the nine territories. He is a fair man. He is trying to fix what the previous alpha had done. He wants to treat humans fairly. He does see himself as a protector to them. After all they almost killed themselves out of existence how can they be trusted to actually make it through a day without a wolf’s help. He sees one of the leaders of the resistance in his arena. He knows he wants that one as his own. One he can make a proper example of so the others will never try to resist.
Aaron is a reluctant rebel. He mostly became one to find his brother Jamie. When he finds himself a prisoner his mouth and cocky attitude almost get him killed. When the alpha chooses him as his personal slave he fights it with everything inside him. But when he finds out he is the Alpha’s mate perhaps that is something he can use. He just didn’t count on really falling for Quinn.
There are many layers inside this story. There is also some dubious consent. I really liked the storyline and the overall feel of the story. I feel this is a great start to what promises to be a really intriguing new series. I cannot wait to find out what happens to Jamie. He so needs his story next!

Started strong - but by the end I wanted a little more "grrrr" and some BITE in the Alpha!

This started off wonderfully - I've enjoyed other Shannon West stories where there is a Master/Slave relationship. The back story, how things come to be, the insta mate - it was excellent and very hot! Aaron is a character who is doing things he doesn't want in order to find his brother. He's not a full on rebel - more a case of having to do something in order to get something without the idealism behind it. Quinn is the ultimate alpha. The ruler of it all. He was purported to be a hard wolf who rules as much by the hand as by the mind. Not that he was merciless - just that he didn't back down. I was SO into this world as we started. It's explained beautifully with some good building to let you "see" the locations in your mind.

However - I just cannot enjoy when an alpha male turns into a little puppy and basically gets emasculated into a whiny, lovestruck, female. I'm talking about Quinn. I was ok with Aaron changing into a more submissive role because he liked it ultimately - no problem and he was the stronger of the two IMHO. Quinn though - to be an Alpha of all the territories? There *has* to be a hard, harsh element to him to rule. They are wolves - show some bite! Because of this the last 1/2 of the book went a bit south for me. I needed Quinn to maintain his alpha status. I mean he was a real pansy at times with Aaron - and if he wanted to show this "love slave" to the world as an example of humans being conquered then I expected some amount of wolf like wild dominance. It just wasn't there and thus I could not really believe Quinn was truly the Alpha of all Alpha's. The world was fascinating and the potential is there - but it just cannot fizzle out into this kind of (as one reviewer notes) "mooning" behavior. It's not attractive to me.

mish-mash?

To me, this appeared to be a mish-mash of plotlines from other Shannon West stories, this irritated me. The editing, characterisation, writing, dialogue were all excellent as per usual for Ms West - four star rating there. I would have liked this supreme werewolf of all the nine territories to not be so lovestruck; he mooned around quite a bit. In fact, come to think of it, the pair did a great deal of mooning (joke intended). The book could have been longer, with more room for humiliating-the-human. As it is, the pair reach the idolising each other stage very quickly.

You can read this whole book in about an hour. This young lady Is beautiful and alluring. I just wish there were more facts about her, a lot of writings about Maria is speculation, some good and some not so good. You be the judge. Don't believe all you read but yet believe all you read that is good.

The first half is great, containing some good historical facts pertaining to Maria Orsic and the Vril symbol. The second half is hit or miss as I am not sure how much I believe in the medium of Joel Tucker, who is introduced as a medium in contact with the late Maria Orsic.
