WOW! This book was exhilarating, it had my pulse pounding and my panties drenched!

This story is about a Mia, whose husband was murdered and she was also attacked that dreadful night, but she was smart and played dead in order to survive. It’s now a few years later, and she has been in WITSEC, but everyone thinks she's dead and buried. She has new life with a different name and has changed her appearance. She is now working as a psychologist for woman in jail, but she has a new client and his name is Cole “Shank” Shepherd. She was put on this case to help the DA investigator get information to help him bring down some of the motorcycle clubs key players in the area. Mia knows that Cole is a part of a motorcycle club that is rivals with motorcycle club that she suspects killed her husband. She also knows that Cole went to prison because he took revenge on a rival club member who raped his cousin. She also knows he has a soft heart where woman are concerned, so she plans on seducing him in hopes that he will fall for her and kill her husband’s murderer. All these years Mia has felt dead inside and figured she would never have any more romantic feelings towards another man. When Mia meets Cole for the first time, she is surprised by her physical reaction to him. She knows it's wrong, but she just can’t help herself.

Cole has been paroled from prison early with the understanding that he will be a criminal informant for the DA investigator. They are after his uncle, who is president of one the motorcycle clubs in the area. They want Cole to get information on his uncle to help bring him down. If Cole does not turn in the information the DA wants, it’s back to prison for him. Cole is out, but he doesn't have the freedom he craves. He has an ankle monitor on and he has to report two times a week to the DA investigator, afterwards he has a session with Mia as his psychologist.

As the meetings continue, Mia can’t believe how attracted she is to Cole. He is everything she should not want, he’s an outlaw. A motorcycle club member, he has tattoos all over, and has a bad temper which leads him into trouble. Despite that Mia finds him so sexy that she starts fantasizing about having sex with him.

Mia is everything that Cole wants, but knows he can not have. She’s smart, sexy and way to classy for him, but he can tell that she is interested in him, so he decides to go for it.

The story line was FANTASTIC and with each turn of the page I was more and more invested in the story and characters. There were so many twists and turns along the way as Mia struggles with the knowledge that she is falling in love with Cole, knowing that they can never be together, and in the end she will end up in pain. But pain to Mia is much better than feeling nothing at all.

As Cole and Mia get closer, the sex scenes get dirtier. Mia wants it hard and rough and Cole is all too willing to give her just that. Some of these scenes just about tipped over my heat level rating and let me tell you, that’s not an easy thing to do. Just a warning, this book is VERY EROTIC, so if you like your books SCORCHING, this is the read for you.

Near the end there was plenty of action and I was riveted to the pages as Mia and Cole had to run for their lives. I just had to know how they were going to get out of the mess that they had gotten into. I thoroughly enjoyed this part of the book and it had my pulse pounding.

The ending was everything I hoped it would be. I finished the book and let out a breath and thought...WOW, what an AMAZING read!

I can’t even describe how good Riding Dirty was. The story was well done and had a realistic feel to it. The only complaint I have is that we have to wait until September 2015 for the next book in this series. This will be a must read book for me. JILL SORENSON PLEASE WRITE FASTER, I want it NOW!

5 "Explore Your Wild Side with a Hot MC Biker" Stars!
By BJ's Reviews
Although no stranger to action romances, this is Jill Sorenson's first foray into the MC world, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Nonetheless, I decided to give it a shot as I'm a huge fan of MC romances and the book blurb sounded intriguing. Boy, am I glad I did! Wow, was this a hot read! Moreover, the suspense surrounding the mystery of the heroine's past, and the intricacies of MC life as they relate to the hero, who is a member of the Dirty Eleven MC, provide a good well-developed plot to complete the package.

Psychologist Mia Richards is just a shell of the woman that she used to be. Three years ago, her world was turned on its axis, when her husband was killed in a home invasion robbery gone bad. She came home in the middle of the robbery and was nearly raped, beaten and left for dead. As law enforcement suspected that a MC was responsible for the crimes, they staged her death and she was placed in the witness protection program for her own safety.

She has moved on professionally, now a forensic psychologist, but remains emotionally numb. The only thought that provides her any happiness these days is her desire to seek revenge against her husband's killers. Then, to her extreme delight, she is handed the perfect tool to carry out her retribution plan when Cole "Shank" Shepherd, a tattooed, bad boy, Dirty Eleven MC member, is placed in her care.

Her job is to serve as his counselor while he completes his mission to serve as an informant against his MC. In exchange for his cooperation, he is paroled early from his prison sentence. Of course, Cole, who is a loyal man, would never normally agree to these terms. However, given that the Aryan Brotherhood, a powerful prison gang, has already made an attempt on his life for his refusal to assist them, he is left with no choice. But he knows he's a dead man either way, and can't determine who he should betray.

Mia's plan is to seduce Cole and then manipulate him into agreeing to kill the men responsible for killing her husband, who she believes are rival MC members. What Mia never counted on was genuinely liking Cole, and being deeply attracted to him. Cole, in turn, makes no secret of his desire to bed her. In fact, he wants that and more. Convinced that he no longer wants to lead a lonely life, and feeling a connection to Mia that he has never felt before, he makes no secret of his desire for true intimacy with her.

But can two people from such different walks of life ever truly find a HEA? Will their respective social circles ever allow such an unconventional love affair to endure? As each person's past is slowly revealed, the obstacles become more daunting. Moreover, Cole must still determine whether to double cross the police or his MC. Will he survive that decision? ...

All in all, Riding Dirty was a hot, sexy romance which kept me engrossed from page 1. The erotic nature of this read was off the charts, and caught me somewhat off guard as I wasn't expecting some of the wilder scenes. In that regard, please note that this book contains a number of scenes where the heroine explores some pretty unconventional, wild fantasies, including one involving a ménage scene. So if this is not your cup of tea, you may want to skip this one. In that regard, I will say, that although this is not the type of erotica that I typically read, and I was initially skeptical, I was pleasantly surprised by how Ms. Sorenson built it into the plot and how she used it to further the romance.

I can't wait for the next installment in the Dirty Eleven series!

My Review:

I've read several of Jill Sorenson's other books, so I thought I had a decent handle on her writing style. I was wrong. This book is raw, sexy, and gritty, and definitely skirts the edge of taboo. It was totally much more than I expected from her, but that isn't a bad thing.

For me, Cole made this book. I loved his character and the Catch-22 that he's in. He has no choices and no matter which way he goes, he's probably going to be killed. What I love about him is that he continues on regardless. I would think it'd be really easy to give up given what he's already gone through and what he still faces. But he doesn't.

The other thing that I liked about the book is that Mia is a psychologist. She even analyzes herself at times. But no one needs more inner perspective than Cole. He's been really screwed over the years...since his teen years and that's left deep mental scars in how he approaches problems. If anything, prison has helped to calm that all down a bit. He's less reactive now, but I liked how Mia would help show him what he was reacting to in certain situations so that he could then work to fix that...which hopefully would keep him from getting in trouble in the future.

I have to admit, I wasn't a big fan of Mia's. While Cole grew as a character, she went into a serious downward spiral getting more and more impulsive and more and more dangerous. I understand that she was finding herself again after her husband's death, but I couldn't respect her decisions. By the end, I didn't even really like her much anymore and I hated that because I really enjoyed her at the beginning of the story.

So a bit of a mixed review here. But I am excited about the series. Ace's book is next and I find myself wondering more about his story. There were glimpses of it in this one and just like Cole, he seems like he's really stuck in circumstances that he can't get out of.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
